1. Our Community Values

PlanFolks exists to help travelers find companions, build travel plans, and form a genuine travel community. These Guidelines apply to all profiles, travel plans, feed posts, chats, images, and any other Content shared on the platform. They exist to keep PlanFolks safe, respectful, and trustworthy — for everyone.

Violations of these Guidelines may result in content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent termination, as described in our Terms and Conditions.

2. Definitions

• Content — any profile information, post, image, message, or travel plan submitted to PlanFolks.
• Reported User — a User who is the subject of an in-app report.

3. Respectful Behavior

We expect every User to:

• Treat fellow travelers with courtesy, regardless of nationality, background, or travel experience.
• Communicate honestly about travel plans, availability, and expectations.
• Respect boundaries — a User's decision to decline an invitation, cancel a plan, or end a conversation must be respected without pressure or retaliation.

4. Harassment

Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited, including:

• Repeated unwanted contact after a User has asked you to stop.
• Sharing another User's private information ("doxxing") without consent.
• Persistent unwanted romantic or sexual advances.
• Coordinated harassment campaigns (organizing others to target a User).

5. Hate Speech

We do not permit content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred against individuals or groups based on:

• Race, ethnicity, or national origin
• Religion or belief
• Gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
• Disability
• Age
• Caste or social origin

This includes slurs, dehumanizing language, and symbols associated with hate groups.

6. Violence and Threats

Prohibited content includes:

• Direct or veiled threats of physical harm against any person.
• Glorification or promotion of violence, terrorism, or extremist organizations.
• Instructions for making weapons, explosives, or other tools intended to cause harm.
• Content depicting graphic violence for shock value.

7. Bullying

We do not tolerate:

• Mocking, humiliating, or demeaning another User's appearance, travel choices, culture, or background.
• Encouraging others to pile on or exclude a User from group travel plans as a form of punishment.
• Sharing embarrassing content about another User without their consent.

8. Fake Profiles and Catfishing

Every User must represent themselves honestly. The following is prohibited:

• Creating a profile using another person's photos or identity.
• Misrepresenting your age, gender, location, or relationship status to deceive other Users.
• Operating multiple accounts to manipulate visibility, ratings, or reports.
• Using AI-generated or stock photos to misrepresent your appearance.

9. Scams and Financial Exploitation

PlanFolks strictly prohibits:

• Requesting money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial account details from other Users.
• "Romance scams" that build trust to solicit money or gifts.
• Fraudulent travel deals, fake booking links, or advance-fee scams.
• Multi-level marketing (MLM) or investment solicitation.

If a User you've met on PlanFolks asks you for money, stop responding and report them immediately. See our Safety Guidelines for more on avoiding financial scams.

10. Spam and Unauthorized Advertising

Do not use PlanFolks to:

• Post repetitive, irrelevant, or automated messages.
• Promote unrelated businesses, products, services, or third-party apps without our written permission.
• Direct Users to external platforms for the primary purpose of circumventing PlanFolks' safety or payment systems.

11. Sexual Content

PlanFolks is not a platform for sexual solicitation or explicit content. Prohibited content includes:

• Nudity or sexually explicit images, videos, or text.
• Solicitation of sexual services or escort arrangements.
• Sexualized descriptions of individuals without their consent, including minors (see our Child Safety Standards, which apply with zero tolerance).

12. Illegal Activities

You may not use PlanFolks to plan, promote, or facilitate:

• The sale, purchase, or trafficking of illegal drugs, weapons, or stolen goods.
• Human trafficking or smuggling.
• Money laundering or other financial crimes.
• Any activity that is illegal under the laws applicable to you or the destination of your travel plan.

13. Reporting Violations

If you encounter behavior that violates these Guidelines:

1. Use the "Report" button available on profiles, posts, travel plans, and chat conversations.
2. Provide as much detail and evidence (screenshots, message content) as possible.
3. For safety emergencies, contact local emergency services first, then report to PlanFolks at support@planfolks.com.

You may also block a User at any time to prevent further contact, without needing to file a report.

14. Enforcement

Violations of these Guidelines may result in:

We reserve sole discretion to determine the appropriate enforcement action, and may act without prior notice where necessary to protect User safety. Repeat violations, or attempts to circumvent enforcement (e.g., creating new accounts after a ban), will result in escalated and permanent action.
